Buona Sera Ristorante

They used to have wonderful food. On this visit all 6 of us were disappointed. The ambiance has also changed. The lighting color is cool white. Ugh!!

Abundant dishes, good pasta, friendly waiters, price in line with the quantity. Unfortunately I didn't see any Italians in the kitchen or in the dining room, but the food was ok.

My husband took me to Buona Sera for a mid-day Mother's Day meal. Everything was delicious and our waitress, Maria, was so nice. I had the Stuffed Mushroom Caps, Crab & Lobster Ravioli, and Homemade Flan for dessert. My husband had Mozzarella Caprese, Veal Tre Funghi, and Carrot Cake. We both had salads. I brought a slice of Chocolate Mousse Cake home for later! We knew that it was a BYOB so brought a bottle of wine along. The prices were in line with most fine dining restaurants. Hours vary slightly so check before you go.

I reserved on RESY for 6:30. The confirmation was made. I did not receive any message that it is currently a BYOB. Really would have liked to know that. Firstly, it is under new ownership. New Yorkers. They were reluctant to tell me their name. I will be brief and say just don't bother. I ordered Italian egg soup which was bland. My husband had the beef ravioli with bolognese. He said they were ok. I ordered the chicken verona, however they delivered chicken francese over pasta. It was the patron next to me that ordered that and it was too late, I had cut and eaten a piece before I realized it was the...

Absolutely a fantastic place! Call ahead, I do not recommend parking on the Washington st side. Narrow fairly busy road. Service was spot on! I had calamari, linguine with clams and cream brûlée. My wife had lasagna and the soup. Calamari was cooked perfectly. White sauce for the linguine was fresh made with plenty of clams. I asked for a recommendation for a wine. Didn’t think it would work. But the waiter knew what he was talking about. About the only thing my wife wasn’t perfectly happy with was the lasagna was light (to her taste) on ricotta.

My husband and I chose this restaurant to celebrate his birthday and our anniversary. We had never been there before. The lettuce in the salad was brown and had a bad taste to it. The slice of bread they offered was cold and extremely hard to spread the butter on. My meal (chicken francaise) was bland, flavorless and the sauce tasted nothing like a lemon sauce, it was straight chicken broth. I couldn't even finish my meal. Excellent Italian American food at very reasonable prices. Our waiter, José, was pleasant and helpful with menu selections. Had a wonderful bottle of Chianti Classico, also very reasonably priced. Can’t wait to return.

My wife and I keep forgetting about this place and every time we go we can't believe we don't go more often. Appetizers of Stuffed Mushrooms and Calamari were outstanding. My wife had a Italian Chicken dish and I had the Lobster and Crab Ravioli in a Vodka Sauce and they were both great. Salads came with the entrees and they were very good as well. We will be back much sooner.

Booked a reservation for a Saturday evening . Nice location in quiet neighborhood. Indoor and outdoor seating. Wait staff are very attentive . Had several drinks stuffed mushrooms salad. Perfect! Main dishes were veal parm and shrimp parm. Red sauce is fabulous!! Shrimp had great flavor. The owner Richie stopped bye. Very nice guy. He gave me a wooden box hand painted by his mother. Desert was ok coffee was blah.Food was excellent quality not previously frozen. I will be back even living an hour away Definitely worth the trip. Thank you Richie for a lovely authentic Italian meal.
